eDECK was formed in 1999 when a group of experienced tradespeople in the building industry observed there was a need for a better service to homeowners who wanted to renovate or build. The large commercial builders were frustrating many because of their impersonal service and small operators were too disorganised with their schedules and often treated clients in an unprofessional manner.
Drawing from a pool of experts, eDECK set out to change the way building and renovation projects could be conducted in Australia. They decided to provide a service that was versatile, that would allow the input and influence of the homeowner at every level and offer a product that was sublime in its construction and appearance.
So that eDECK could continue to offer on-site consultations and on going contact between the company director and the home-owners during the building process, a conscious decision was made to keep a tight compact outfit.
